An alternative suggestion...
Changing the front & back casing yourself is relatively simple, there are full instructions on how to do this in the 'TIPS' section. Changing the top panel (the small panel incorporating the on/off switch), is also easily done, the bottom panel is not quite so straightforward though, so should be left alone if not damaged. I'd remove the back, front & top casing and the LCD screen (again, instructions on doing this are in 'TIPS') and then use a compressed-air jet (you can buy a small can of compressed-air designed for this purpose from Maplins and similar outlets), to blow out any dirt and dust from the interior of the phone before re-assembling it with new casings where needed.
