Exclamation Great article from Steve Litchfield on the N95-2

Check it out HERE

A dozen Real World Tasks - the Nokia N95 8GB takes on all-comers

Put the kettle on, and have a good read, its a deep, and very informative article from Steve, whom I'm a big fan of.

Bit of a wakeup call though. If the iphone had decent camera and some recording capabilities, it would have won.

Unless Nokia pull something out the bag, the next iphone will easily be a N95/96 beater.

I've just renewed my conract and stuck with the N95. I was expecting a real upgrade to be around. The N96 clearly isn't up to it and the N82 as big a fan as I am is really just an N95 GTi. No new ground breaking technology, as you say.

But at the end of the day, I'm beginning not to care about what other people use. I'm knocking on 32 next birthday and maybe getting more sensible. There's a tiny glint of green in my eye when I see some PFY with an 8GB flashing it about, but I know I did the right think not getting one. If I had, it would have been for show and that would have put me in the iPhone camp.

Good neutral article though. Top marks.

Hee, Im not even 28 yet, and I dont give a dump what I use, as long as its good for me.

Hence why I had the 6110, I just wanted something with GPS, and that was it. Not a looker, and seemingly a very niche phone, its quite unpopular by most accounts.

Thats why Im after the E66. I suspect that will be almost as rare, and it suits my needs better than any other phone.

I can only hope nokia have something in the works. Im thinking a whole range of touchscreens, as the 5800(?) is just a mid range one geared towards music, as the rest of the 5xxx range is recently.

Not that any of those would interest me. Touch screens have never been my thing, nice to use but just not practical.

Quite... I used a HTC touch today. Happed to have one arrive on my desk.

The jury is still out, quite nifty, but definately been spoiled by the N95... Can't see any benefit what-so-ever with a touch screen.
