Oh, ummm. I can't remember! To be honest, I can't remember how I paid, I suppose it will be added on to my bill at some stage.
I've done a couple of Resets prior to the upgrade, and after each it still worked ok. If that makes a difference to anything.

When you do a firmware upgrade, all of your programs and settings are removed/reset. So it's cleared out whatever kind of authorization your program was requiring. When you say it was added to your bill, are you saying you paid your carrier for it? Did you do it online?
There should be some way of getting it taken care of...

Ah, ok it's a false alarm. I went back in to the Purchase options, thinking that it may remind me, and I remembered that I'd taken out a 30-day trial offer instead, which must have expired a couple of days ago, coinciding with the upgrade.
So I've upgraded it properly now, and have an email receipt to prove it (something i never had before)
Thanks anyway!

Is Orange the only UK service provider to not issue an updated firmware?
This is getting beyond a joke. I sincerely hope the reason for not having issued one yet is because they're working on releasing the next one ahead of everyone else.

Orange seriously need to pull their finger out here - I got stuck the other night when my phone did a random reset. It was late and I mistakenly entered my phone code instead of the PIN code three times and got locked out. I had to borrow a phone to get the PUK code!! :/
I understand the new FW is lot more reliable...
