From what is being said it would be nice, however someone said the last firmware would be July 2008 :S I shiver with the fear of that being the truth.

Possibly. He has an N95-1, and he's in America, I would of thought he'd have an N95-3, but the firmware screenshot states RM-159.

Surely, this is now academic to most of us, given that Nokia will be checking to see if the phone has had an, ahem, unsupported firmware update?

maybe, BUT i wouldnt mind if it was the last firmware update as being an unbranded type, the last thing i want is for nokia to get thier nasty evil phone bricking plans into action and kill (most of on here!) peoples beloved phones.
To be honest, my phone is sweet running v21.
The only gripe i have is having only 27ish mb to play with on a fesh boot which soon goes down to 9mb after using apps etc.
Nokia probably havnt REALLY started to block/brick phones yet so if an update came out next week wed probly have time to "slip under the net" and being a last update ever would mean my phone is safe! hurrah!
In a year or 2s time il probly be using an n98, and with the fact v21 is great on my phone i dont think i care too much either way.
