Im thinking of buying an N95 8gb - Need some advice 1st...

I currently have an N95. Its great, does everything i want but the memory is awful. This morning i did a restart and had 29mb free, this quickly went down to 15mb, then 11 now its at 9mb free.

I have used my phone for texting today, browsing the odd photo, nothing much. The apps that i have auto start on my phone are

Remind me (alerts me to missed calls/text)

Voice recoreder (records all calls etc)

Slidehelper.

If i want to use voicemode to talk a text, that uses 6mb so im pretty much done there for memory!

Im tired of keep reseting my phone all the time as 3mb isnt even enough to take a picture (it errors with need 8mb free)

These are apps that i want/use all the time on my phone so not using them isnt an option.

Im on pay as you go so buying a brand new phone is too costly, so waiting for a n96 or n85 is pointless.

I fancy an n95 8gb, like i said, my 95 is perfect and does everything i want it too, apart from the memory drain.

Ive read up on the 8gb version, it has paging so it used the 8gb as temp storage for apps so it wont have memory problems, better battery life and its just an N95 with a black case basically so im happy with that.

I just wanted to know any advice on buying a n95 8gb.

Ive seen this on amazon (second hand is my only option)

Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: Nokia N95 8GB

£210 sounds a bargain, anyone have any experience buying phones from amazon. This is a brand new seller. Not much info on him. Its a good price but a lot of money to loose if its dodgy or phone is a fake and i cant get my money back as the seller (vanishes) etc.

If anyone is on here from the chesterfield/sheffield area and wants to get sell me an 8gb that would be an idea.

My friend has an N82 and thats great, i like the slide of the n95 though and bigger screen.

Im open to ideas and advice, thanks a lot guys.

I have this phone, everything is good, especially the multimedia keypad on the side. It has pretty much everything you can ask for and video playback quality is great. The camera is fairly good; however, if you know about the previous designer on the N95-1, it had a camera cover. This design doesn't have a camera lens cover so you're going to have to take good care of the lens. I myself have had to purchase a new camera lens from blueunplugged. I am still waiting for it to arrive as with my other parts.

Generally I'd say if you've got the funds to go for it, do so. This phone will not let you down. I do recommend that you stay with us here at N95 Users. This community is generally very helpful when you come across problems. Knowledgeable to say the least.

I just moved from my N95-1 to a N95-2 yesterday, its taken me a while to get all my data, apps, email and Garmin XT (please don't ask how) over onto it and so far I am really liking it a lot.

I didn't think I would like it this much, and I feel like a bit of a traitor to my trusty old N95-1, but I am loving the extra RAM and bigger screen.

The only problem I have with it is the 8gb mass memory limit (I have an 8gb card in my N95-1), as I have a lot of music, audible books, photos, maps etc on it and I only have a 1gb reserve left on the mass memory.

If this thing came with a 16gb mass memory and/or a card slot it would really rock as a mobile device.

I'd say get one and you will be pleased with it over the N95-1, I am.

N82 is several hundred dollars cheaper here...

I would either go for the N82, or wait a little bit and get the N85, which is a much better handset than the 8GB.
