You are correct that I did make a mistake about power consumption related to the screen. What I should have pointed out is that an OLED has about one quarter the life span of an n95 8GB screen.

Depends, if they used the new method of creating OLED, then it actually outlasts the normal screens.

The apparent removal of the copy and paste feature is indeed a downgrade and IMHO a big one.

No, its still there. Forget which key, but it most certainly is.

The N85 also has a non standard data port. Another downgrade.

Nnngggg.
ITS NOT NON STANDARD.
Its not as common as mini, but it will very soon become standard. I have more phones that use micro than mini at the moment.
I daresay cameras etc will follow.
I get the impression you dont want the N85 to 'win'.
At the end, its down to each person preference, but IMO the N85 has it beat in specs.
Depending on which
N95 your comparing it too...lets say the 8GB.
Its going to last much longer with batterylife - same size, but FP2 consumes much less, and couple that with the OLED screen.
Its smaller, thinner.
It does have less RAM, but apperently FP2 handles it much better.
It has USB 2 speeds.
It can charge via USB.
It allegedly has a much better slider - while some people might not have had problems, it was a recognised problem on the N95s.
It has a lens cover.
It has a duel LED flash. Not as good as xenon, but much better than the
N95's single LED (see AAS comparisons).
GPS will be better positioned.
Card slot - which means both more memory, and the ability to swap cards if need be.
Those points make it a huge winner for me, the
N95 8gb only has the following over it:
Bigger screen
More running memory (although I dont think theres going to be a difference with FP2 running on the N85).
Price
If you prefer the
N95, by all means stick with it, no-one is forcing you to change. But the fact is, most people on this forum see the N85 as an upgrade, and this is from people whom really love their N95s.
