Nokia N95

I have an iphone 3g which is garbage and I wanna get a Nokia N95. I have some questions though..

1. Is the brownser comparable to the iphones, can I view Myspace, facebook, forums etc?

2. Can I use the GPS functions on AT&T(My carrier) and all other functions ?

3. Can I simply put my iphone SIM into the N95 and it will work?

4. Do I need to notify AT& T im using a Nokia N95 now?

Sorry for the noobness of me but I wanna buy this thing so bad!!

1. the screen is smaller so it's not comparable to the iphone but you can view myspace, facebook, etc...
2. you can use the gps with nokia maps or installing a third party navigation system.
3. you can put your sim card and it will work as long as the phone is unlocked.
4. you don't need to notify at&t. you can run settings wizard on the phone to get your settings.

thanks much for the help. Can I buy an unlocked phone at a Nokia store in New York?

ah yeah. get the black for 3G.

you can set it up in the phone or use a third party app for your emails.

A quick heads up. I have both iPhone, and N95...The browser (or any 3rd party browser) are pretty trash...not because of the software, but because navigating with this phone suck. I haven't tried and 3rd party apps for email yet, but the way its set up out of the box is trash too. Im not sure about the GPS situation. I have the 6 months of MAPS free and I cants even get it to work properly. I think if I got this phone and never had the iPhone I would be much more impressed with it.

I also have ATT and it works with the same sim card (cant transfer contracts through SIM though) I just switch em and use both phones. If im going to a family event or anywhere I would need a camera, I take the N95, otherwise I use the iphone.

Btw the N95 can play flash and java on websites which the iPhone cant's (which still boggles my mind, lol)

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, an unbiased review of things. You just saved me a 2 hour drive to NYC. I am really into the iphone's browser and its capabilities. I spend a lot of time on the web on my phone as I travel alot.

I'm hoping this new iphone software thats released Friday fixes the aggravating things making me want to switch to another phone.

I must say though the N95 still looks to be an amazing phone..
