1. With the Vodafone sim card inside the handset

2. Key #pw+129022718795152+1# (The p w and + symbols are found by keying the * key twice for the + symbol, three times for ‘p’ and four times for ‘w’)

3. The handset should then display “Sim restriction off” which means it is unlocked

NB. If the handset fails to unlock, then please do not attempt to enter any sequence more than twice, as you will risk permanently blocking your handset. "

See the answer from Gadgetman on your other thread. He seems to think that you do need a Vodafone SIM. I've given a link how your sister can get one for two pounds.

For the benefit of others, the codes in this post will only work with the posters handset.

Thumbs down

Hi I found this on an unlocking website - info regarding the sale of blocked or barred phones after unsuccessful unlocks or lost phones......ie people sell them overseas where the locked phone will work unrestricted..

Nokia's older DCT 3 range of handsets have been well and truly cracked. Anyone that searches the Internet for a short period of time would be able to find an IMEI change solution. BUT Nokia's new DCT4 range of handsets remains un beaten with regards to changing the IMEI. This is largely down to the type of memory used to store the IMEI number. Nokia have chosen to use OTP (one time programmable) memory, which by its very name indicates that data cant be over written. (unless you change the UEM/memory chip - technically this is out of the realms of most criminals!)
