New SD Card

I know I've seen something on this subject before but can't find it now...

Just got a new 2g SD Card. How do I get all the info, files, applications etc from the old to the new? I'm not sure but don't think it's as simple as copying them over. Or is it?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Nasib

Stick the old mem card in a reader (you'll need the SD adaptor). copy all to the new one, reinsert new one.

If you turn the phone off, it won't throw a fit with aps etc loaded on the card ;)

Or you could use the backup and restore feature in PC Suite, but only tick the 'Files on Memory Card' option.

Whatever floats your boat. ;)

Prob with that is some apps will not copy over as Nokia suite see's them as locked.

Tried it myself last night on Sis-in-law's N80, and the only way to get everything over to the new card was using a card reader.

Really? I must admit I hadn't tried it but thought since the app is called 'Nokia Backup' I thought the results would speak for themselves. Thanks for the info gadgetman. ;)

Aye, and as it was my old N80 card, it threw a fit when I insterted, and tried to format in her phone before copying everything over.

Had to format it using My PDA, and the SD adaptor in the end.
