Remove T9 dictionary word
Does anyone know how to remove a custom word from the T9 dictionary? I added a misspelled word by mistake, and now it always comes up. Annoying as hell. How do I remove it?

I'm afraid it's not a terribly helpful suggestion, but a Format of the phone (*#7370#) will do it, but it will also lose everything you've put on the phone; apps, contacts, bookmarks, everything not on the memory card. A Reset of the phone (#*7780#) may do it, but will lose all your other settings.

Open messaging, type the word you want to change/get rid of, then press the Pencil key/select predictive text/right nav key/edit word, then put in what you want...think this works...

I just tried this without success.
I had saved the word 'wmv' in the dictionary, and now whenever I want to type 'you' I get wmv instead, and i need to press the star key.
It is very annoying!

Interesting. In the past I've always had to teach my symbian phone that Body=Andy, but my phones always used to put 'Body' first, then I had to press thew * key to cycle through 'anew' then 'andy.
With the N95, after a few entries, it will now put 'Andy' first.
So, perhaps it will relearn 'you' as its preference after a while, so it doesn't matter if you have a wrong spelling or inwanted word, it will relegate it down the list.

Too much time on my hands. I have now managed to teach it 'body' first again.

Cool
I opened a new message and typed 'you' a few times, by the fifth time it had made it the default instead of 'wmv'.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah, that's what I do when I want it to prefer a word. Just type it in like five to ten times in it's own message, and it will come up sooner.
