1. You'll either have to change your product ID (invalidate your warranty) or wait for Orange to approve the latest firmware update. From there you'll just need to install the NSU (Nokia Software Updater) and it's pretty simple from there.
2. You can get your pictures to your PC in a number of ways. Easiest and quickest would be by pluging in the USB cable from the
N95 to your PC, select "Mass Storage"- then navigate to the images directory on your phone. Then
N95 should show up as a new drive in "My Computer". Or you can use the PC Suite- just select that mode when you plug in the USB, then open the Nokia software on your PC. You can also shoot them over via bluetooth in range of your PC, or send them to a flickr account from the phone anywhere in the world- this is by far the coolest method. There are even more ways to get the pictures off the phone. You can pull out the microsd card and pop that into a card reader. We could go on and on about how to transfer pictures, but the easiest would be with a USB cable in Mass Storage mode.
3. When you open the camera lens, the camera application starts up- click the first icon- this will switch to video mode. When you open the camera app, which ever mode you were last in will be activated.
4. They will be very large indeed. 2500x1900... somewhere around there. That's if you're in the highest image mode.
5. What kind of addons are you interested in? Software, hardware? I'd recommend checking out the 3rd party apps section here for software, and the accessories subforum for hardware. There are tons and tons of hardware and software available for the
N95. More and more everyday.
6. Depends on how much you have installed or saved on your phone to begin with- then images vary in size, from as low as a couple hundred kilobytes- to 3 or more MBs. Hard to say what kind of mileage you'll actually get.
7. I got a 2 gig card for 25 bucks off ebay.
8. As soon as they possibly can. ;)
And welcome to the forum. Enjoy.
