Can anyone give us an overview of how uPnP, media sharing etc can work with the N95 ?

I'm finding everything to do with uPnP a bit confusing. I'd like to be able to use my home Media Center (XP or Vista) and uPnP-compatible router to stream music or video from the device to the Media Center. Is this possible? I've set up the sharing in the 'home network' section of the control panel but can't seem to find any such devices.

Also, is it possible without using Media Center? If I'm at work, for example, 'd like to be able to stream files off the device using WMP 11. I know XP has some kind of uPnP support and I've installed some component for it through control panel, but I dno't know where to start with this.

What I'm not so interested in (yet) is using third party software to share the files. A lot of people have mentioned this and whilst it looks very useful, for the purposes of this I'd like to just use uPnP and work it out, rather than going for file based SMB access (I'm familiar with that already).

Also, does anyone know anything of the link between uPnP and Windows Rally?

Thanks in adv

George

I've downloaded Home Media Server - but remember, WMP11 already has this capability built-in. Vista's uPnP stack is apparently much more developed than in XP. (I've done a lot of research since that first post!)

The problem I have now is with browsing the N95 from Windows, not the other way round - when I try to brwose the N95 from the Network window, Media Player opens, but just dumps me at the last playlist I had open. I can't find a way of actually opening the device.
