TIP: S60 Browser 'page overview' vs. Opera Mini 4

(Not sure if this belongs in general/Symbian/Third Party, feel free to move).

I've been using Opera Mini 4 on my N95 for a while now because I really enjoyed its feature of viewing an entire page at once and then allowing you to chose where you wanted to go.

However, in fumbling with the built in browser today I found that by hitting 8 (or going to navigation -> page overview) the built in browser had the same feature!

I just consider myself a 'power user' in that I tend to explore a lot and every option and somehow up until now I had missed this, and hadn't seen it commented on anywhere else thus i feel like sharing in hopes that it is useful to somebody else.

So, I'm happy to say im now using the built in browser again :).

It's in the manual. I guess "power users" don't RTFM.

I still think Opera Mini 4 is streets ahead of the native browser though - I don't see the fascination with it at all. I used to surf on my C600 more comfortably than I am able to on the built in N95 browser!

Am I missing something?

Homer- there's so much involved with S60, and the applications designed to run under it, it's very easy to overlook a simple feature like this.

ZGold is just trying to share information with others that may have over looked this feature. It might be nice to amend your statements towards him. Unless there's some "tee-hee-hee" involved there that is unwritten, it could be perceived as unnecessarily rude to a guy who just wants to share knowledge... you know?

Fair enough, it's just that his "power user" comment comes across as if he knows everything yet one of the simplest things, which is right there in the manual passed him by.

And maybe I just hadn't had enough coffee at 7.59 this morning.

I have found that going to options, help, is quick reminder to some of the keys to navigate.
