video conversion
hi, before you jump to a quick conclusion, i will say i have tried to search for the answer on the board and downloaded a few software that has been mentioned and ive either done it wrong or it hasnt been working. so im not just being lazy!
Anyway, the problem that i am having is not an uncommon one, i cant convert videos for my phone. I have downloaded so far the divxnokia convertor or whatever it is called, used the nokia software and some ps3 video thing.
All i want to do is convert a video into the format that will make it work on my phone. The videos that i want are downloaded from the internet, so basically windows media/mpeg type videos.
So can anyone provide me with a simple solution that will alow me to directly convert the videos? no fancy settings changes or anything, just plain turn into something that will work on my phone? im getting desperate now!
i will be very grateful!!!!!

Never had a problem with the PS3 converter. You did add the extra datafile for Nokia conversions in, didn't you?

I use WinAVI MP4 converter. Pretty a much drag and drop operation.
You're converting the files to MP4?
If so, what are the problems you're having?

well using the two different nokia software, the official and divx one dont actually make it reconiisable one the phone, unless im putting it in thw wrong place. the last video i converted was for a smart phone and it was video clip/avi.
the nokia suite thing has rpoven to be a waste of time to install because it doesnt convert any files that i want puting on the phone, as i said all standard files to be converted.
what is the extra file for the nokia coversion? the data file you mentioned?
but yeah to sum up, its basically that whatever i convert, doesnt actually appear on my phone using the software i mentioned. I'll try what you mentioned above and yeah, an explanation or advicce would be very much appreciated like i said :D

Same Issue.
I like you have also had this issue and i cannot convert files for my Phone. The closest i got was converting a movie, however there was no sound. I gave up. I wish there was an easy solution. With clear instructions.

Hmmmm.....
I've posted the exact settings to use with SUPER at least twice, I'm sure if you are creative with the search you'll find them. If SUPER can't convert it then it's not a video file.
