There are others out there...?
DRM is a complete waste of time. For the non-technical, it's a brick wall and a waste of money if you've got a device that aint on Napsters list (
N95 wasn't last time I checked). For the technically minded among us, it's just so easy to get around, it's pointless.
Don't get me wrong - I'm all for paying for music, and I'm dead against the peer2peers. My personal view is that there should be an electronic audit trail attached when you buy electronic music, held buy the retailer. If you ever get investigated/raided/whatever, there'll be a list somewhere of what you've purchased, you know, like when you buy stuff - A receipt!
If I wanted to steal music, there are a million ways I could do it. But I feel that DRM is a deterrent from legally buying music! I had a massice argument a few years ago with Virgin and eventually got them to see my way of thinking - to no avail however.
I buy all my music legally. And I play it on my
N95.
I've heard, apparently, there this little program called SoundTaxi, i think...
