Need spare parts -- Dummy Phone?

Are dummy phones made with the same parts as functional ones? I had a tragic accident where i totally bent a piece out of shape, obstructing the sliding piece, and i can't find the part i need at places like blueunplugged.

could i use a dummy phone to get parts, or is it made with cheaper/different materials?

Unfortunately not. The only usable parts on the dummy phone are the keypad buttons and the directional pad + buttons... I ripped my dummy phone to a million pieces trying to find out that answer to that same question.

Incidentally, which piece did you bend out of shape? Was it the black slider-bracket that has the 3 torx screws in it? If so, you can get that part.... But the problem is it's part of the Nokia N95 Slider Module, which is a costly piece of kit coming in at 40 quid. It's also currently out of stock.

it's the silver piece that surrounds the usb port, charging port, etc. i ended up just buying an "oem nokia housing" warm graphite color which i have my doubts as to the authenticity.. but the seller on ebay has excellent feedback and sells both oem and non-oem housings, and clearly states in the item descriptions whether they are oem or not.
