What do I do when the screen freezes?
Hi,
I have had my N95 for about 10 days now and am pleased with it on the whole. I used it on a T-Mobile prepaid card in the US and now I am back home in Mexico I am back with my Telcel SIM. On a couple of occasions I have dialled *333 to check my Telcel balance and the phone has frozen. On other occasions it has not happened.... Hmmmm...
Anyway, is there a way to do an emergency restart on the phone? I resolved the problem both times by taking the battery out, but reckon this isn’t a good idea!
BTW, I am enjoying reading the forums and have picked up some good tips. Thanks to all.

I'm assuming you mean when you disconnect a call it stays on the screen for anything from 10 -30 seconds.
Mine does this too on V10 firmware. I believe it was solved in V11, so try updating your firmware you v11 or 12 using NSU.

I am on v12. I have not had the problem again since I posted, so maybe I just need to me more patient to wait for the screen to revert.
Anyway, IS it safe to take out the battery when the phone is running?

Yes you can take the battery out with the phone on, I've had to do this many a time when my phone (v12) crashes and there is no way to resolve it

Mark Watson, as I've already stated in answer to a previous post of yours on this forum, it appears from the fact that of a total of your five contributions so far, all have derided the N95; that you have joined the wrong forum!
This forum exists to share knowledge about the N95 and in doing so, help users to derive the most from it. Your input is neither helpful nor knowledgeable, as you seem to be a WM-enthusiast, I suggest you confine such posts to a WM forum, where you can 'call' the N95 to your hearts content.
In the event of further posts from you, along the same childish, uninformed lines as your initial five posts I will help you correct the mistake you've made by joining the wrong forum! Is that understood?
