Nokia N95

Hi im in the UK and was thinking about getting the new N95 in a week or so but i keep hearing a rumour that a new black 8 gb version in coming out, with a higher resolution screen ,128 ram and better battery.

Does anyone know if its true?

Should i wait to see or just get the N95 out now?

It's true, but (I believe) the 8GB Memory is just a rumor

I would have to agree that the 8GB is a rumor. We know there is a revised N95 for the US market that comes with US HSDPA and a significantly better battery which is rumored to have 80mb of RAM available after a fresh boot- but as far as the screen goes... don't know about that. I would sincerely doubt it. Darla has confirmed the 128MB of RAM.

Maybe i should let my contract run out and just get pay and go sim till the upgraded n95 comes out.

Its only been out in UK since April, i think its bad to bring out a upgraded one so soon.

The "upgraded" N95 is a US model. There is no European 3G chip.

I don't believe any of the rumors about the black 8GB N95.

There was an xml spec sheet on a Nokia developer site a while back that was entitled "N95 8GB" but it was thought that the title was to disguise a different new model, because some of the specs were below the N95.

There has been a photo of a black N95 with "8GB" wriiten on the front, but the suspicion is that this is a fake too following the earlier rumour.

Don't forget how long it takes Nokia to get a product into the shops after announcing it, so even if they announced an N95 8GB tomorrow, it would be a while before you can get one.

If you get a 12 month N95 contract now, it will be up not too long after the N97 is released. :-)

hi thanks for you help. i thought about getting 12 month plan but phone is over £200 with 3.

maybe if i say in going to change network they might give me a deal lol

Call them and say that you want to change because vodafone offers £35 per month with 700 free minute and 250 txt. More importantly free handset.

I did that twice and they drop the phone to 50 quid and I also get to keep my current price plan + other free services. At first they wanted to charge me 200 for an upgrade too. Just keep calling both companies until you are satisfied ;)

There is already a 4Gb N95 out with an 8Gb coming in 2008. :)
