I'm from the Philippines but when I use the software updater it says mine's already up to date:

V 12.0.013
19-06-07
RM-159
Nokia N95 (13.01)

How can I update to V 12.0.014?

Darrell,

Check out the previous post on this thread.. It may seem that your handset contains a different product code apart from the APAC Region Product code.. use the NSS software and change the product code to any of these under APAC Region Codes.. you could try 0536085.. below are the steps from previous post..

* Do a complete phone backup;
* Run Nemesis Service Suite [NSS] and change the product code, to do this you have to:
o Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window;
o Click on the icon “Phone info”;
o Click on “Scan”;
o Change Product Code To "0534841" (take note of current code, you will need it later);
o Click on "Write";
o Close NSS;
* Run Nokia Software Update;
* Leave your phone connect to you PC and the mains, if the battery dies so does the phone!
* Once finished repeat:
o Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window;
o Click on the icon “Phone info”;
o Click on “Scan”;
o Change Product Code To "Old Code";
o Click on "Write";
o Close NSS;
* Then restore your backup.

It must be done in this order, any other way and you risk your backup not working and if either the phone or PC shuts down during upgrade your phone won't work!

Thanks! The first product code didn't work, but 0536085 did the trick. :)

Nokia N95 (12.01)

Hmmm... About the Maps Application. It says its V3.0 wk23 b01. Is this a new version? AFAIK the latest official release was just 1.2. I notice a difference in the GUI, like the GPS and 3G connection indicators.

The firmware update does a full format of your phone, which wipes any of your dictionary entries.

Just upgraded my new N95's firmware as per the start of this thread and I've lost the shortcuts down the left hand side of the main screen aswell as the top part of the screen that used to show the 3G and batt levels and the clock. Am I missing something obvious?

Also when I receive a call my ringtone is interupted by a voice telling me who's calling, how do you get rid of this??

Thanks in advance..

im actually in the region which had 12.0.0.14 firmware. i believe this firmware is only available to the regions that did not have 12.0.0.13 firmware available. its their equivalent.

so i changed my product code back to my phone's native product code (from hong kong's product code back to malaysia's product code) and YUP.. now there is an update 12.0.0.14.. previously, v12 firmware is not available here.
