it was pretty straightforward. the noticable defference is the font style, i'm not THAT keen on it but it's decent. But hey i bet there are other differences aswell. do you know the differences between this firmware and the previous one? (V 12.0.013)

umm.. there are a few changes i noticed.
1. i am able to change the font size, with 3 choices: Small, Normal & Large. It is under Settings-General-Personalization-Font(was it there in 12.0.0.13?)
2.Startup is faster by at least 10 seconds
3. Smaller installation file (if memory serves me right, it was more or less 140mb d/l for 12.0.0.13.. for 12.0.0.14, it is only 115mb d/l size)
4. Phone is generally faster. Even loading pic's thumnails in gallery, loading playlist in music player..
these are the main difference that i could see at the time being..

My product code is 0534833 and I was having firmware version 11.0.0.26 installed on the phone. When I checked the Europe support site it informed that 12.0.0.14 was available for my phone. I updated my phone using the Nokia Software Updater and it updated to 12.0.0.13 without any problem. When I run the updater again it tells me that the firmware is upto date even though 12.0.0.14 is available for my Product code and 12.0.0.13 is installed.
Has anyone faced a similar problem.

Hi Vash,
The same thing happened with me too. The NSU forced me to download the upgrade to 1.4.0en and only after that the firmware was upgraded from 11.0.0.26 to 12.0.0.13. Now the NSU says my firmware is uptodate even though I have 12.0.0.13 and the Europe support site says ver 12.0.0.14 is available for my product code.
I am totally confused

hmm.. this is interesting.. u could try using NSS to comfirm that your product code is infact 0534833.. u'll never know.. other than that, i have no idea why ur phone cant take v12.0.0.14
seriously.. the difference between 13 & 14 isnt really obvious..

Thanks Vash. I checked with NSS and found the Product code in the phone is 0548299. (The stcker inside the phone says it is 0534833). I had given the phone to Nokia Service Centre for some repair in India and it looks like they changed the product code without telling me. I'll change it back to what it should be and try to download v14 again
