Hey guys,

How big is the FW update? I don't have the "best" download speeds at times. The longer it takes the more chance of something screwing up.

Ok guys....... I noticed that the new firmware has support for live TV in the video centre. The N95 now supports xmltv and DVB-IP standards but you have to configure the service manually. I just checked on the net and found that the formats are not much used.

Go to Video centre->options-> settings-> Video service selection....there you'll see 4 choices.... 1 video on demand, 2 internet videos, 3 Live TV and 4 Web links.

If you select Live TV then the window says (no services) but again by clicking options you can add a Live TV service manually...unfortunately i don't know any addresses supporting XMLTV or DVB-IP

Hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this feature!!

Lost maps since upgrade, anyone else?

What was once free GPS navigation, now seems we have to pay?

Anyone know what to do to resolve/resume maps?

Wanted to test Demand Paging in the new firmware, so I tried this:

First I started the music player so I could hear if it was shut down.

The I opened the browser and went to dr.dk › forside (Danish Public TV)

This is where, on the old FW12, I used to get out of memory and shutdown of the music player - even before the page was fully loaded.

This didn't happen so i continued to open:

NOKIA Maps
Route 66
Contacts
Messages
Calender
Gallery
Clock
Calculator

At this point I had 3,7MB RAM free according to Handy Taskman (which was also running together with SkyeQuickey) The music was still playing

WAY TO GO - NOKIA !!!

Right, so last night I:

Reformatted, changed product code to Euro 1, updated to V20, changed product code back to CPW Graphite and it all seems to be working OK besides a few little problems...

Firstly, the MSN part of Windows Live isn't working very well. Everytime I try and connect to MSN, it'll say something along the lines of "unable to connect to windows live, check that your phone is not in offline mode and that your access points are set up" etc.

All my access points are fine and every other program that uses the internet is working great. As far as I can see, the problem lies with the way it's using my connection after the update. Usually, when you open MSN it'll connect you to the internet and then STAY connected until you exit the program. After the update it seems to ONLY connect when you tell it to do something, whenever it's idle it'll disconnect itself again. In the end, it did actually let me sign in but everytime nobody spoke for a bit it'd disconnect itself because of the idle network. VERY frustrating! Anyone else have this?

Secondly, it seems to take ages to open my messages inbox now, it used to be instant, but now there's a 2-3 second delay.

I'm tempted to do a hard reset with the new firmware in place, but I don't want to delete any of the stuff that comes with the firmware and I don't want to have to re-install the firmware either.

Any ideas?!

You must have had navigation as part of your phone package, the rest of us always had to pay.

Possibly changing your product code has confused the licencing. It would be better for you to make a new post elsewhere though, this thread has got far too big for technical support.

Okay just found a bit of a bug. If you open up the desktop search, list the landmarks and go show on map. It shows that one landmark, but it doesn't load any others. Also some menu options are missing and when I close the map, I need to close twice.

If I load nokia maps normally everything is fine. Does this happen to anyone else or am I just "lucky"
