Yeah that's true, I've never needed to use a Nokia warranty ever...

Well, I obviously can't guarantee the safety of your phone, but look after it well and I can assure you, the odds are incredibly slim that you will ever need to look back at that warranty!

Do it, the difference is phenomenal.

I wouldn't worry about the warranty 'issue' many folks have had warranty work done after debranding, me included.

Besides, you could always take it to a Nokia service centre rather than let your provider handle it if you're worried.

AngusG, i had a 3 handset too and I have debranded actually got the 3 unlimited for life skype and msn back from 3. I personally would debrand if I had the option all over again because it seems like a whole new phone!!

What are you worried that you could do to the phone that you would need the warranty for? Do you have long left on the warranty?

I miss so much the tracking feature :( :( :(
maps application is much much slower in this new firmware (maybe because the maps application new version)
Streets names only appear if zoom level is ultra high (2 or 3 blocks in screen), than I cant have a overall look

the only disadvantage in my opinion
