any1 know if you can preload the google maps so that you don't have to load them every time you move around?

No, you can't preload maps to it but there is a limited cache in the program that retains information between uses, for example I can zoom in and out 19 steps each way without it accessing the net, once I've done it the first time.. but once you move location, there's too much information for the cache to be able to store a useful amount in the same way that Nokia Maps, TomTom etc do. So to use it away from WiFi, you need a good data-plan.

hmmmmmmm.....can i hve the street view feature......i wonder??? it would be fun though...........second thing guys which one do u guys prefer google maps or nokia maps....

mgmaps.com is what you want, you can set it to use Google Earth maps.


EDIT: I now see that their latest version has removed the Google maps, I will check to see if any previous version is available.

I wish they put the Google Earth we used on our desktop computers to the N95..come to think the application is not that big..is it?

I'd like placing tags to all the places that I've be to.

how do i download google maps for n95, is it a seperate app you download, or do you just visit the googlemaps website on your phone browser?

just gop to google maps on your phone browser. There is a sat view setting so it's the same as google earth. The search option works well also

You need to download the app (its far better if you do). Go to here to install it, from your phone browser: Google Maps
