N95 Slider Swap...

Good day. I have an N95-1. I am very happy with it, though I admit to being a bit jealous of the 8gb screen.

Has anyone taken these things apart yet to see if the sliders were interchangeable?

I've had a close look at both of these, side by side and they seem, where it matters, identical.

I don't seem to have any memory problems even when doing heavy browsing so other than some extra battery life, (I'm getting an external battery extender), the screen is the only upgrade I'd consider.

I guess I'll try and find a local repair shop but that's probably a nightmare.

i aint read properly in there, but if theys anything about taking your phone 2 pieces, i'de imagine it will be in there :d

Bigger screen and slimmer buttons would be a nice addition.. But it would look a little bodgy with the black top and silver button area lol...

Someone on AAS tried it. He didn't make it work as there are so many different parts, not just the screen and front panel, the keypad, the contacts under the keypad, even the way the slider fits on the case I think. The case is different too because of the card slot.

I would love to see it happen though!
