Well after 2 days of reading the firmware upgrade threads, I decided to give it another go.

As most will know, ( as I posted on here almost in tears ) I goosed my N95 tring to update from v12.0.0.12 to v12.0.013. My phone froze up half way through, messing the 2 day old N95 up big time. So I got a new one from o2 with v12.0.013 installed and was happy.

I read all about the N95's getting new versions etc etc and thought, if it aint broke don't fix it. But I got fed up so I read all the threads again, took the product code Mr G said he used and sat. Dam it was the longest 15 minutes of my life, sat waiting nervously hoping it doesn't stall. After 15 minutes, all done. Version 20.0.015. Some nice changes.

I'm glad that your update went well. But can you care to explain what went wrong the first time when you did the update? I'm trying to build up my courage to go ahead and do it too but I've been hearing lots of stories from people on this forum and others that everything went smoothly in the beginning and then it just went downhill after with no reason. I don't really know if the problem is the NSU or the people's PC's

haha. sometimes it just happens. these electronic gadgets are unpredictable. but just because it failed the first time, doesn't mean it'll definitely fail the second time.
