Well i guess this is the best place to start brainstorming all the bits then? As long as no one hijacks it!

So here's a brief index of what we've got:

How do I install a font on my n95?
How do I remove 'stuck' applications without reformatting my phone?
How do I sign an application from scratch?
How do I obtain a valid e-mail address for symbiansigned.com?
How do I sign an application using GenialSiS?
How do I delete themes that aren't showing in App. Manager?

How do I fix the loose slider on my n95?
How do I fit a new casing to my n95?
How do I replace the LCD Screen on my n95?
How do I install maps and run GPS?
How do I install VoipCheap and similar VOIP profiles?
How do I find out my IMEI number?
How do I know what version I have (n95-1, n95-2 etc.) ?
How do I know what firmware version I have?
How do I debrand and upgrade the firmware of my device?
What are some useful shortcuts for operating the n95?
Is the iPhone better than the n95? - No
Why am I getting "Certificate Error" when I try and install something?
Why is my battery draining so quickly and how can I fix it?
How can I fix my distorted earpiece?
I can't log into Lifeblog, blogger, flickR - Help!

Perhaps an explanation of hard/soft resets should be included? and an FAQ on the accelerometer.

You see, I'm quite capable of using a search button. In fact I'm rather fond of it. The problem is that when a user doesn't know the correct term, or a synonym of the term, it is VERY difficult to find what you need.

How about just a machine generated index of this forum's database? Or just the first 1,000 or 2,000 most common words excluding a, the, and so on?

Mostly, when the search result turned "0"...the case is someone doesn't actually know what he is looking for..

It is best to read the phones User Guide first..

ok so I see the brainstorming has started which is cool. I was thinking a little bit today and why don't we come up with a couple major topics to list things under. I was thinking explanation of the different N95 models, Certificates (signing and explanations), FAQs, PC suite problems, do this first when having problems, handy tips, and then probably advice for using thisforum (i.e. use search with a * and include your FW version and N95 model)

Thinking having this is one quick to read post would eleviate the problem with people not knowing what to search for like stated above and jsut some tips the veteran users have noticed over the days using the handset

I'm a firm believer in "R.T.F.B", but this is one of the sorrier owner's manuals I've used.

Some people just dont get on with manuals. Probably 90% of people who effectively operate their phones learn the best from just playing around with it, and with this forum you learn something new everyday.

I appreciate if you have a problem its a good idea to check the manual for any obvious problems, but i'd prefer to ask a person and get a quick response or chat than have to go rifling through a book filled with technical stuff.
