Angry Phone back from service center, but the product code is invalid?

I got my phone back from carphonewarehouse as a replacement for my previous faulty one.

However, when I typed my code in underneath the battery, it says it is not a valid code:

054174

So I used NSS Nemesis suite to check the real product code, and it was 0547686?

Now, it has software version 20, and everything is great. The phone has no wobbly slider, the keys do not creak and it does not crash, great!

But should I be concerned about the product code for warranty purposes in the future?

So, I read that but it is still not clear? Is it suggesting because a Nokia service center did it, that I am ok?

I am more concerned the product code does not match. It has a proper sticker, but why would it not detect as valid on the Nokia site. Dont get me wrong I am over the moon with the handset as it is in perfect condition, more than I could hope for!

I personally wouldnt worry about it but if you're up to it I'd say go back to the place and show them that the product code isn't reconized on Nokias site and see what they say.

Yep, I may well do that but I have a receipt for it. Just worried if things went wrong, they could throw it back in my face?

well there's always a chance someone will throw it back in your face wether they can or not but it wouldn't hurt to go ask them and at the least get the reciept signed saying that's what they gave you

That is a good idea, I will get them to sign the receipt saying they have done this.

Any ideas on as to why the product code sticker is invalid? I mean surely it could not have a fake sticker??

Ok thanks for the help, still open to suggestions on what others would do. The only place I have found this code is typing in google and some obscure polish website comes up with a single guy having that code.

In your case, I would just ring Nokia and get some advice.
