Gps Problems - Please Read
Before you post about your GPS problems, be aware that cracked software generates many different issues to legitimate software. Also, problems that cracked software have that seem similar to legitimate software have different solutions.
An example of this is Garmin XT. There is a problem with using the internal GPS reciever but the solution for the legitimate version is different to the cracked version. And any advice people can give you will not work for a cracked version.
And no-one on these forums will give you advice on where to get, or how to use cracked software.
Paying for legitimate software encourages companies to improve it and continue to support it. So if you like and find a bit of GPS software (or any software), please pay for the legitimate version, your helping yourself and the rest of us in more ways than one.

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if they can access gps & Nokia Maps on a payg sim card? I have had the N95 for around 6 months, and still have been unable to get a fix. It was given to me by my partner, who bought it on contract. I know all about cold/warm starts, as I have TomTom 6 on a pda, and know sometimes it takes ages to get a signal. This is not a great issue for me, I use Google maps often to gain a rough location from phone masts, but I would like to hear from anyone that can help. I live in Portadown, Northern Ireland. |

You shouldn't have replied to a post which is 6 months old and is actually just a general instructional type of post, hopefully the mods will make a new thread from this.
I have been using the GPS on my N95 and now N82 almost exclusively on various PAYG cards without any problems whatsoever.
You should be able to use the GPS even without a SIM card.
