Leave it on this popup window.
open the keypad and prop the phone up at 45 degrees and leave it on a windowsill. Check on it every 5 mins or so and eventually it will get a connection.
The first time that it connects it needs to figure out whats going on. but now it connects faster and knows where i am.

Almost correct advice. Do this instead (for high accuracy):
1.): Open Google Earth (or other reliable source of ALTITUDE for your location) and find out the altitude of your current location by
zooming in all the way on the location where you are standing. Look at the bottom, middle of Google Earth for your altitude.
2.): On your
N95-4 RM-421 v11.2.011 (other models would be different) go to your [Menu][Tools][Connectivity][GPS Data], hit
[Options Key], choose [Settings], choose [Altitude calibration] and enter your altitude.
3.): Hit [Back], and choose [Position], hit [Options Key], and choose [Satellite status].
4.): Slide up to expose your keyboard, hold your phone so it is facing the Equatorial line in the sky (people refer to this as
"Hold your phone at a 45' angle" but if you are at the North/South Pole the angle needs to be different than if you are at the
Equator (straight up)).
If you don't understand that then just hold your phone at a 45' angle.
5.): Wait until the [Satellite status] gives you a MINIMUM of THREE satellites with FULL black bars (five black bars is certainly better).
6.) When you get enough bars hit [Back] and look at your "Accuracy". Mine says less than 100ft (WITHOUT AGPS).
7.): The more bars and the longer you stay in one place the better the accuracy. Turning on AGPS will ALWAYS improve startup
times and MAY (or MAY NOT) improve accuracy.
