maps to gps map format

hi just got a little question regarding maps readable by n95 gps!!!
i have an n95 but cant use the gps map thingy properly since navfone nor nokia maps have NO detailed city maps where im in!!!

now the big question is i have some maps of my country & some cities BUT can i convert these maps to A FORMAT readable & usable by nokia map loader or navfone using gps ????

What is the format of the Nokia Maps?

Looks like you might have to go down the Garmin road.
Alot of people on here swear by it.
Or maybe even TomTom.
Be worth looking into at least.
