No GPS after update

I have an N95-1 with V 21.0.016 installed. I use Nokia Maps 2. I have assisted GPS, integrated GPS and Network Based all enabled in Positioning settings.

When I open the maps application I cannot get a satellite connection. I have tried leaving the phone is an optimum state for upwards of 45mins. When I open GPS data>>navigation the screen says 'no connection'.

If I try to enter 'satellite status' a retrieving data screen comes up for about 2 seconds and then the phone says 'Satellite status: (no satellite data available)'. I've left it like this also with no change for over 45mins. I feel like it's not even trying to make a connection because of how fast the 'Satellite status: (no satellite data available)' screen comes up.

I'm not 100% sure that it was the update that caused the problem but the problem seemed to arrive around the same time as the update. My GPS used to work fine. I've searched the web for help now, any ideas?

I've heard this exact same problem with V21 affecting the GPS quite a few times now..... Haven't heard of any fixes though......

If it's a big problem for you, take it in for repair.... if not, maybe hope for a V22 update......

There is a setting in Maps > Options > Tools > Turn GPS on! I guess you've checked that?

When you say take it in for repair do you mean take it to nokia or to some random phone repair shop.

I'm kinda wary of this because my phone is running a firmware that it's not supposed to be able to yet. I've changed my product code back to what it originally was but still...
