It was actually up already, was just waiting for Steve to look at it and put it on the front page.
More to come, and please keep the comments coming. Anything you feel Ive missed, I can add into the next review (Mcguider should be coming up next methinks).
As every reviewer, Id like to have the best out there!

Review pretty much corresponds with my brief experience as a Copilot 7 owner. Nice to see you're so positive about it. If not for the occasional "teething" troubles I've endured (and the apparent lack of a-gps) I'm sure I'd be happier still! Will be interested to hear of any updates - especially on the a-gps front. I hope your contact has good news on that. ;)

I'll send an email tomorrow.
Course, that depends if they want to talk to me after that review ;)
I know it seems like theres a lot of bad points, but I have to say that overall, in getting to places it was certainly a lot better than many I have tried. There was one trip to Reading which I didnt plan for at all, and it got me there without incident. Just needs a bit of fine tuning (like adding AGPS), and it'll be the main recommendation for me.

On investigation, it appears there is a way around the lack of a-gps. If you have Nokia Maps installed (or I assume any other function which utilises a-gps), you can open that application first and allow THAT to obtain the gps lock. Then open copilot and you're instantly up and running. You can then close down Nokia Maps and the fix is retained.
Yes, it's a pain. But it seems to be a viable workaround until ALK sort things out their end. Apologies if this doesn't work for all (and, indeed, if the entire a-gps issue I've raised turns out to be a red herring). But I'm still finding my way sat-nav wise - so to speak!

Only trouble with that I've found, is Nokia Maps still takes the longest out of ALL the sat nav software I've tried, to get a lock on!
Gotta be honest, I'm puzzled as to why so many have issues with it taking ages to lock on. In the past I've tried past Garmin, CoPilot, Sygic and Nokia Maps and in all cases, locking on to satellites has not taken long at all.
I think it boils down to a lot of factors:
- location
- surroundings
- firmware versions
- dodgy handsets
It can't be solely a software problem because you can have two people using the same version of the same piece of software and one will get a lock semi-instant and the other will be waiting for minutes.
*shrug*

Yep, its very odd how it differs so much. But it muct be affected by software soemtimes. Ive had noticable differences in different software. Same phone, same weather, same position. I just dont get it.
I have contacted copilot about it, but no reply as of yet.
No reply about my licence either, so I still dont know if it works on FP2 phones.
For the record, satnavs dont like FP2.
Garmin flatly refuses to run, Sygic cuts off the voices, and I have yet to try Navigon (still waiting to hear from them too).

Huff.
Got a reply from copilot, but it didnt say anything about AGPS.
Told me instead they liked my review and put it on their blog

Removed CoPilot.
After using it for a week or so going up and down to Isleworth and Staines from Northampton I found it terribly awkward. The menu system is nice, good idea, but far to slow to get to what you want, when often you need to get to the features quickly, legalities aside for a moment, we all tap our SatNav screens whilst driving! Simple tasks like finding an alternative route by avoiding a certain motorway, were just difficult to find and/or achieve.
Another thing that bugged me was how long it took to re-route you once you'd deviated from the set route. The icon and map would just freeze whilst it though about what you'd done, then suddenly pop back into life with the adjusted route.
I found the application to be very memory hungry too. I would go from 20mb+ of memory before launching, then down to 5mb or less than whilst running. Annoying because sometimes when I took a call, after ending the call, CoPilot would be gone! Closed itself down, I'm assuming, because of memory shortage. IMHO no point having a SatNav for phones if you cannot use the basic functions of the phone whilst the SatNav remains running. I also had several issues, again seemingly related to memory, where upon exiting the application would take forever, and once I even had to remove the battery because the screen froze and became garbled.
However its not all bad. I found the traffic updates and re-routing due to said incidents pretty good and pretty useful. I also liked that the voice instructions would continue while the application was running in the background. Satellite lock on came on most occasions, within seconds whilst outside.
Luke pretty much summed up in his review how it handles navigation, hence I've not mentioned that in the above. Just wanted to share my own, practical hands on experience with it.
