Thats really odd, because I didnt have any memory problems. And I was running sports tracker at the same time.

Granted, I didnt check the memory while it was running, but bear in mind the 6110 has a crappy 17mb memory for running apps.

I didnt test phone calls while it was running, and this seems like a bad omission on my part (sorry everyone). Its something I'll always do for future reviews.

So your still in the market for a good satnav eh Logan?

Im waiting for Garmin myself, but I still havent had a reply. Will send an email poking them next week.

Well that is strange. Perhaps its a memory leak only affecting certain handsets?

Yeah continually waiting for a decent one to arrive. To date, the ones I've tried are just not worth the money IMHO. McGuider still stands out for me. I like presentation and McGuider arguably has the slickest interface. Easy to get to the features you want quickly as it uses the familiar Symbian OS navigation method. Still its far from perfect and has some issues, as well you know, that really need addressing. Tried an updated version today and they still haven't fixed the post code issue!

I just can't get to grips with Garmin. Tried it. Disliked it. Removed it. Its boring and ugly! That said I take your word and point that its probably the best of a bad bunch in terms of navigation qualities.

Logan, what version are you running?

I have the latest one, and the latest maps (I have access to their FTP server ) and the postcode issue is gone for me. I think.

Can you give me a postcode your having trouble with?

I want to like Sygic. I really do, the interface is by far the best on S60, and I love the maps, no garish colours, and its easy to see.

But the navigation...ahhh the navigation.

As well as U turns at roundabouts (Im not joking), directing me up one way streets, and generally ignoring roads just before any turns Im supposed to make( i.e. telling me to take a right, instead of second right), its just not reliable enough for me to use.

Its also infuriatingly bad left right issue when not needed.

Sigh.

Oh, and you saw my post with the screenshots of the new Garmin coming out? Looked hellva lot nicer.

Has anyone had any problems with copilot reinstalling itself everytime you switch the phone on?

CoPilot Live 7 - US lacks Symbian Support?

Just strange!
If you go to the German or UK website of CoPilot Live 7, it supports even NOKIA, the US version only supports PDA phones, now, that sucks!

Why do they both have the same version "7" I wonder ???

Well thats odd, because on the media supplied install programs are both there, for symbian and WM.

Call them:

And mention it. I really dont see why you cant have it, since they obviously do USA maps, and the maps must be compatible.

Haven't thought of buying it yet since it did not mention that it is compatible. However, I wrote the US Support and in addition the European Support team - let's see what they have to say about it. Might be that this are 2 different versions?

Yes and no. With the Euro one, you buy whatever map region, and get a micro SD card.

This contains the maps, and 2 install programs. One for Symbian, and one for windows mobile.

Since there is only one copy of the maps, its compatible with either system, Symbian or Windows mobile.

So unless for some really odd reason, the US maps are in a format only the WM version can read, I dont understand it.

This isn't likely though, since I can apperently buy US maps - CoPilot GPS: ALK Technologies

A licensing issue? Thats the only other thing I can think of, but I cant see why there would be issues with a symbian version.
