GPS lock taking very long

The Gps lock takes very long on my N95,for some reason.Yesterday I gave up after waiting for like 10 minutes or so.True,I was indoors,but nevertheless,it should have been able to find me faster,right???

there must be something to all that indoors-outdoors talk,because I've tried it when I was in the open,and I got a lock in like 10 seconds...

Well what do you expect, you will get a quicker lock when your outside in the open as your easier to lock to.

I tried to get a lock and most times it takes five minutes but I do have the AGPS off, it's just plain old GPS, yes the keypad is open because I know you have to keep the horribly misplaced antenna under the keypad (i.e. under your hand) free from any obstruction (the "obstruction" meaning your hand!) why didn't they put the antenna on the other end?

What gets me is after all that I go into my house and try it again and it works in a few seconds, yet outside it took so long.

At the very least they should have designed it so you could hold the N95 upside-down and use it that way, but even that doesn't work since the map doesn't always move or reorient itself so you can hold it that way.
