You guys are funny.
It's completely fake. There is a video edit before the internal GPS selection is displayed (obviously an image displayed as full screen on the N95) and another when it goes to satellite status- when he "selects" internal GPS. You guys ever full screen YouTube? Lol!
You guys wanna see the settings to control planet rotation with TomTom 6.04? I've got it on mine.
Got some land for sale too...
What is the point in creating videos like this? Where did that get the guy?
I seriously can't believe that there are people here buying into this!
Edit- man... sp00k- that email you got back from TomTom SUCKS. At least they're saying more. I've asked them about ten times now, always the same response that I can just check the website to see if the N95 is compatible- never once told that it might not happen. That's not great news...

Agreed it isn't the best news but there's still a glimmer of hope... This is the question I asked them...
"Hi! Can you tell me when, if ever, there will be a version of TomTom available that is written to utilise the internal GPS receiver of the Nokia N95 Mobile phone?"
So their reply paraphrased my question, had I only asked when, I would have probably received the same reply that you did... And don't forget that there is also the language-barrier to be taken into account... If they'd not the slightest intention of doing anything, why did they explain the delay and advise me to keep checking their site for updates?

As far as I know, TomTom has never sold mobile software alone, all their sales have forced the buyer to purchase the GPS reciver... I imagine that TomTom are in a bit of a quandry, whether to release the patch/updated version/new program... and risk widespread piracy of it, or to not do so and thereby lose a LOT of sales!
The SDK's are available and if they delay too long, the hackers will do the job for them...

Sp00k, point taken, but they already support then internal GPS receivers of many other devices, such as ones that are Windows Mobile based..

Do they? I wasn't aware of that, I've been out of the WM loop for a few months now... If that's the case then the future looks considerably more rosy than previously, I'd say! :)

Yes, indeed- you have been able to connect to an internal GPS with WM version for some time now.
sp00k- I've purchased TomTom software for PDA and smartphone before without buying GPS. I got a Nokia LD-1W instead. Best purchase ever. Even though my phone has a GPS in it... I'm using TomTom on my N95 everyday. :)

Last time I investigated TomTom products, admittedly a couple of years ago, I already had a decent (SirfstarII-type) GPS receiver and the only way that I could get the software without paying for another (poorer-performing) GPS receiver, was by going down the ebay route...
The fact that, as you say, they now sell the software alone, gives me fresh hope for an N95 version... But as I said before, if they don't get a move on, the bright boys out there will beat them to it.

I bought my first copy of TomTom software about 5 years ago. Software only- no GPS, from mobile-planet.com (expansys).
Software can be purchased alone (for some time now, I think?) on TomTom.com directly as well.
