My version of maps is "v 3.0 wk23 b01 OpenGL OpenBit Mn".
Is this right?

Yes, thats the standard version we all have, except those that did the update to the new beta version.

So yes, it's right.

We are all expecting an update to the Nokia Maps application that will finally bring it out of beta and add a few new features as well. It was on the Smart2go website for a very short time, and now it's been pulled due to a licensing bug.

It's anyone's guess when we will see it...

You'll find links I posted to it in other threads on this forum.

Just be aware that the 'Start Tracking' feature has been removed - this is the sole reason why I personally have not bothered with it...

Hopefully that feature returns in the full version due out.... ?

In the pics i've seem the version was 1.1 and i was confused...

hi. i installed the beta version. i miss the tracking. how can i get back my old version?

*#7370# will do the hard reset, and restore everything from ROM, including the original version of maps.

Just don't forget to backup important data first via PC Suite.

EDIT: You might want to see under App Manager whether or not you can uninstall the beta. I have no idea what will happen if you try or whether the option will be there at all. I'd give that a go first. Please share your experiences with everyone! Thanks.

hi. i found it under App manager. i try to uninstall it but nothing happens. i think i have to reset the phone. i think i wait and see if the final version come soon. maybe the tracking works on the new version.

It sure as hell better work on the new version... Otherwise Nokia will have offiically coerced everyone into buying navigation and I don't think that's fair play.

You could of course, not upgrade, but the new version apparently adds a whole host of other features and seems to look a lot nicer on the eye as well.
