hey guys, im just having troubles with my gps..
i can get connected but when i use maps its like a white screen, i think i didn't load the maps properly..
im almost certain i did, is there specific maps for sydney australia ?

i have also read that you have to pay for some license or something?
how do i know if i paid for it or not?
how do i find out if i have the correct maps and versions and stuff ?

Have you got Nokia Map Loader installed on your PC?

1.You can buy a licence which the time scale ranges from 3 days to 3 years, which gives you navigation and instruction voices.
2.You'll know if you've paid for it as you can only istruct the device to do so.
3.To have the correct maps isn't hard,if you need australia then download australia from the Nokia Map Uploader.

More info and lots of threads in the GPS section

The first time you use the Maps application on the phone it can take a while for the GPS to get a lock. Check that it has locked by going in to Maps > Options > View > Satellite info. You should see some hollow bars that will go solid when the GPS has locked.

If the screen is still blank, you might need to try and download your Maps again using the Nokia Maploader Software on your PC. Make sure the phone is connected to the PC in Data transfer/Mass storage mode on the phone. use the option in the Nokia Maploader Software on the PC to delete all maps then pick the Western Australia Map. You'll have to wait a few minutes for it to download.
