How to force the map to move with me?

One thing about the GPS is still puzzling me (and I reckon I've almost lost my newbieness now!) - sometimes the cross (where I am) and the square (for a destination, or where I looked on the map) are locked together and when I move, the map moves to keep me in the centre. But...at other times the map stays on the square while the cross (me) moves off the map. That's really annoying and I can't figure out what I need to do to lock them back together again.

Otherwise really impressed with it - it works perfectly in my car just Velcro'd to the dash, not even near the front of the windscreen and it's stunningly accurate. And having lots of fun with SportsTracker and Google Earth.

The square is where you tell the maps you WANT to be.
To get them back together just hit the GPS Position button.

Ok thanks, got it: Options > Find Place > GPS Position [0]

if you just press 0 it will track you like in the previous version - it used to have the option 'Track Me' via the menu
