the n95 has alot more features then the sony device you mention these are power hungry features such as gps wifi 5mp camera etc etc

if you have early firmware on the phone then it was renowned for bad battery life , the newer firmwares v21 and i believe even v20 offer better battery life and many useres will tell you this

you should let us know what phone model you have ie 95-1 n95-8gb etc etc the press star hash 0000 hash on your standby main phone screen , this will bring up your firmware version and date it was released etc etc let us know what this says again and we will be able to help you more

you should also hold down the menu button on the stanby screen this will bring up a taskman screen close any apps you dont need by highligting them and pressing c , any open apps will also drain the battery quicker , you can turn packet data off to when needed , this will also help and also why not try turning the brightness of your screen down a notch and the backlight time down a bit these will all help

but really you need the latest firmware on there for max benefits

:-)

hope this has helped

search the forums there is load of info there a search button at the top type in battery issues or something this has been covered loads ;-)

have a good 1

You can get hold of BL-6F on eBay, or just search around on google. You should be looking at around £30 for a genuine battery.

seems like a lot of effort for little return, just buy a couple of spare batteries, they don't take long to charge, and 25% increase?... you get 100% with a spare.
