Just did the slider repair on my UK Vodaphone N95-2, went fine, after a few sleepless nights plucking up courage!
Dropped it in a flexible leather specs case, slider still came loose, right hand side, used black PVC electrical insulating tape, lot easier than i thought, thought it would cure the movement in the indent in the parked position, did'nt,
Now i have the confidence, will remove PVC tape and try gaffer tape, see what happens, screws, phillips head, already had a set of precision screw drivers, the small ones you use for tightening the screws in spectacles,
had my set of Magnetized Tip Torx drivers standing by,
Did my repair over a shallow sided tray, lined with Tissue (toilet) paper, stops screws bouncing on floor when you drop them, and they show up easy,
part number on my slider brackets was - V2TI02-08, if thats any use to anyone,
be carefull handling the brackets, you can bend the ends if not carefull,
Thought about maybe slotting the screw holes in the brackets with a needle file to bring the bracket down a little more, something moves when you drop it, did not see any damage when i opened mine, back seems to click well into place, sticky pads did not seem to do alot,
make sure you get the back completly clipped back into place along the edges,
check well,
did not have to use a credit card or anything, just fingers!
Feel better now its done!

Glad you got it feeling tighter. Interesting that you mention you have phillips screws, not torx. I recall an N95-4 of another member having phillips screws, but not an N95-2.
What firmware is your N95-2 running barndoor.? Checkout my sig below on how to find out.

Micky,
Just upgraded to Vodaphone UK V2.0 last week, went better than expected, my first time, bigger download than i expected, 114MB, restored backup from mass memory, piece of cake!
waiting for next F/ware update now it went so smoothly,
Also did my first theme, after finding out how to get the phone to accept them,
Just realised, i stuck tape on the internal sides of the brackets as well as under the lip, will remove the tape on the sides today to see what difference it makes, surprised me about having phillips screws, expecting Torx, perhaps one manufacturing plant uses torx, another phillips?
Nokia use several for the N95, dont they?

Where did you get your N95 from, and what product code does it have?
Please update your profile information to include N95 model, and its current firmware, in your case, N95-2, and V20.

Now in your userCP at the top of the page, go into your profile, and add N95-2, and V20 :)
EDIT, I see you put it in your Signature. There is a place for it so it shows in your profile under where your avatar goes ;)

Okay i bought my n95 8gb 3 weeks ago and slider is wooby on right side.. I'm going to fix it via this method described in this thread. I've already opened my N95 8GB and i saw it has philips screws in it. Since i don't have a screwdriver thats small i'd like to know which size are these philips screws? :) i've already bought philips screwdriver but it was to big.

Just buy a small set of precision screwdrivers. The correct size will be in there.
