taking the phone apart

I really want to try the tape over the red light thing, but i was just wondering are all the screws going to break when i take the phone apart or should i be ok?

you should be fine. ive taken apart my n95-1 many times and still use the same screws.

there are better ways of getting rid of the red light as well. u should be able to find it in the hardware hack section. search for red light be gone or something like that. welcome to the forums.

Taking the phone apart is easy, I wouldn't advise cutting the solder track as this is not something easily fixed. Unless you know what your doing of course.

Not a prob now, finally managed to get the courage to do it, took literally 10 mins to do, everything is back as it should be, went for the tape option, only thing now thats annoying is the 3 camera lights at the top, anyone any ideas how to get rid of them??

Great, glad all went well. Just a recommendation to anyone else thinking about opening their N95, make sure you have the correct T5 screwdriver for removing the front casing cover, and a T6 for internal Torx screws.
