The plot thickens!
My N95-1 is from March/April 2007 and *#0000# shows:
V 20.0.015
13-11-07
RM-159
Nokia N95 (66.01)
Not entirely sure what the figures in brackets indicates though, maybe Gaz can enlighten us? ;)

to be honest i'm not certain what the figures in brackets are (I'll try and ask someone at level 4)
But I do know the only good way to find out your hardware version is by Phoenix as even the warranty info does not give that :(
Thosde N95-1s with the new rail as standard are basically a newer hardware version than those that do not but only now are we realising that there are other changes too (including chipset producers and LCD types)

hi everyone!
i have read a few of these guides now. i had an old n95 but it got stolen (*******s), but i loved the phone so have recently upgraded to the nokia n95 8gb and it should arrive soon.
could someone point me in the right direction for which guide i should use because i am not even sure what model it is. i tried the cutting method with my old n95 and it worked a treat, would this still work with my new model?
cheers all! great forum!

Secondly, its not Destructive as such. You can easily resolder the track together, or solder a small wire to bridge the tracks. Or if you dont want any LED functionality at all, you can remove the LED itself (unless its soldered to the ribbon PCB)
Thirdly, you can turn off the camera noises by replacing the WAV's with silent WAV's made in Audacity or whatever
|
Wait, what? Where do you find the WAV's that are played by the shutter to replace them?

Plug earphones in when you want take a pic without the shutter-sound? Cover the red light up to conceal it... And remove the cover whenever you need the flash or the focus-assist light? ... Sure... Both highly convenient methods.
