Replacing camera lens on n95 8 gig

Sorry I didn't explain well enough, I'm after the camera lens on the back. I said camera cover because it covers the camera. I'm terribly sorry.

This is the camera lens cover on the back.

The main camera lens cover is the part in the white circle. As mentioned on page 1, the item to the top right of the photo.



You can't buy it on its own., it comes in this pack, with front camera cover, and main LCD cover.

And how would that connect with the silver frame it goes around. I am need of the whole entire camera package cover which I have just purchased from blueunplugged - only just found.

Though I'm still interested in this itself, having to only replace this lens part under the silver frame saves lots of money. Basically the black sticky double sided round sticker that holds this cover all together and into the phone is a one time use. You can't really restick it back to the phone without it getting tangled and messed up. Replacing the lens requires physically ripping the whole camera cover out, even the silver Carl Zeis cover and this really messed the tape up.

Also I am fearing with my order from blueunplugged that the black tape that goes around the lens doesn't come with it. I am starting to think you just use the tape that comes with the phone because my tape is in the bin, it's in a mess. When you buy the full camera lens cover for the back do you get the tape also?

Oh right, I see now. That part, if like the N95-1, it clips into place ove rhe actual camera lens itself. If it don't, then I would expect it to come with a new peel away sticky back.

Ok well here it goes guys so I'm going to need support from here finding someone that supplies the tape.

I emailed them and here's what they said.

Now I'm going to be stuck trying to fit my camera window to the camera without any of the black adhesive and I'm not going to mess with a homemade remedy, I want to somewhat make this thing look like I haven't messed around with it and I know it's possible.

Yes I did. And In found out how the camera window mounts, it just sits in there and the force of the back panel keeps it in place - stupid me. THOUGH, this would void my brand new warranty, as when Nokia look at it, they'll look for the tape and say "Hey, where's the original tape that was here?" Think it will void my warranty?

Anyways, it's just a warranty. Hopefully nothing happens in 12 months. *not really aggreeing*
