WOW! Impressive video, should get a comedy award... Talk about using a sledge-hammer to crack a nut!
That method is ancient... There's a far faster, easier and safer method to do the job... Which doesn't require a nylon component to be removed... with a craft-knife of all tools!... And leaves the slider assembly still using nylon as the bearing-surface, not a strip of lubricated tape fer cryin' out loud!!
Hint: The N95-1 uses the same slider-mechanism...

yes spook i figured it out....we don't need to remove the nylon strip...we can use the same method as n95-1..

Oh now that's interesting! I didn't realise it was actually the same mechanism. All other sources that I'd seen seemed to suggest it was different to the classic
The tape under the slider method works for the 8GB too then?
