I dropped my Sony E k800i in a deep bath and it worked miles better after that! The flashing was superb! It sounded great!

1. leave phone in jeans
2. cleanup room in a hurry because girl is coming over
3. throw dirty clothes in wash
4. an hour later "hey, where's my cell phone..."
5. "DOH!"

Yup, always...
A mate of mine used to have a (let me get this right) de-ionising tank? He used to buy water/beer damaged phones off eBay, fix 'em then sell 'em.
Not a 100% success rate, it depended, he said, on what they were dropped into, water was apparently most desirable as it wasn't corrosive, and if the phone was actually on when it went in.
I could ask him if he still has it if you like. Worth a shot if all else fails?

hey there, just found your post through WOM world and i thought i should give you and anyone else these tips.
if for some reason, your phone gets dunked in water a home made drying solution would be a bowl of rice. just put your phone in a small bowl and cover it with rice. leave it for 12hours and it should be very dry. for best results try to disassemble the phone as much as possible. better still if you have some dessicant use that. dessicants are those white things in small bags in the packaging of new products such as tv's. they absorb moisture very well too.
i hope you get your phone to work.

I put my N95 through a wash last July, it never recovered.
I've got another now and am more careful when it comes to putting washing loads in.
I did mine on 30 degree wash though :)
