Nokia N95

Ok well, first off, bought the phone on ebay (user had 100% rating )

First thing I noticed when i got it that the user guide did not match the phone. Meaning, I'm told to go to Tools menu. There is no Tools menu, theres setting but no tools. Second, I checked nokia website to see if there were any updates and there were. Now, I cant connect phone to pc. Keep getting the message device has malfunctioned.
Third, I keep geting the message no sim found, and then a few seconds later it will read carriers name. Is this just a confusing way of saying "no service" ?It doesnt do it as much when im outside.
If anyone has any insight to this please let me know.

I beleive mine is the oldest n95, and i think its from europe (plug)
I have Tmobile in USA If you need any more info please let me know

From what I understand is that bootleg N95’s off eBay wont be running the symbian software and wouldn't be recognised by the Nokia Software Updater (NSU).

It looks similar to N95 layout but something not quite right about it. Looks a little strange. Unless this is just the V10 firmware.

Can you post the ebay item number you bought this off. Should still be up to have a look at

That's definitely a fake. Icons are wrong, font is wrong.
Post some more pics?

You need to rat this guy out and get your money back mate. Sad to see this. :(
