Earpiece speaker distorts
Anyone else had this? Even on lowest volume the earpiece speaker distorts really badly when making a call. I'm exchanging my unit this Tuesday when my local T-mob store get more stock in. I'm hoping it's a one off and my next N95 doesn't have the same issue.
Ah well, at least I get to open a brand new N95 all over again ;)

Yep.... Exactly the same thing has happened to me. Im returning my unit tomorrow for a replacement handset. Something tells me though this is going to happen again.

This is starting to stink of a hardware fault that is going to happen over and over....

Well, CPW changed my phone over no problems. Got to do the unboxing twice now! They were very good about it too, kinda surprised me for some reason. Anyway, we'll see how the new handset goes, maybe it will last for more than a week!!!

Got a new handset a couple of days ago, earpiece sounded good, but today it's started distorting again!! Need to change it *again*
I reckon this is a big bug, anyone else having probs yet?

Actually I think its a thin piece of metal that has come loose and is vibrating when noise comes through. Had a good listen with the CPW guy and we both thought thats what it was, it seems to be a direct result of the completely random build quality that all forum friends have been experiencing!? Bad news is that aint gunna be fixed with firmware. I can see myself taking this phone back over the 28 days from purchase and keep getting the same problem until finally they say no, sorry, your 28 days is up we have to send this back to Nokia repair now.. No phone for weeks.. But then maybe it will come back with better parts who knows. It would want to. I would want it to. All I know is I paid £500 for this phone and I'm not settling for anything less than perfection! The handset is capable of delivering that (lets leave battery out of this discussion ) but these crappy faults are nothing less than disappointing. I still love my N95 dont get me wrong and I wont every be turning my back on it from frustration. Just gotta put up with this stuff, report it, and give Nokia a chance to fix it. Still, since we are all effectively beta testers Nokia should give us something nice in return for our efforts. :) /rant.
Anyway, I'm on handset No. 2 now, the earpiece speaker hasnt distorted on this one yet but Im taking it back anyway, due to the high pitched whine being emitted by the phone constantly, on a call or not, activity or idle, it just keeps making that noise. Grrr. :x
