My n95 doesnt tell me when I have a text message!
I noticed the other day that I had 5 text messages when I went in my in box. It doesnt make a sound anymore when I get a message or even tell me on the screen. Sometimes it might tell me when the phone is locked and next to the time it has a little 1 with an envelope? Other then that I have to keep checking my phone inbox for a little red * when I have a text message.
Anyone have this happen to them? How do I fix it ?

This could be from a number of things.
Maybe you are distracted when the message alert sounds, therefore dont hear it.
If you receive more than one message at a time, but only read one then exit, it will bring that number/envelope up on the screensaver, or if you received messages and just didnt realise, but you accidentally press the RED hangup button, it wont display the "New Message" on the screen but will also still bring up the number/envelope up on screen saver.
Have you checked your profile settings to make sure you do still have a sound for message alert?

Neither does mine and it's very annoying. This started yesterday. At first I thought that I simply didn't hear the alerts but this was not the case - the alerts are not working. The only was I can tell if I have a new sms or mms is to wait for the phone to be in standby mode and see if the envelope appears or keep checking my inbox.
I have checked and my handset has the latest firmware installed on it and I have not changed any of the profile settings. I even tried changing the alert and then changing it back to see if it made a difference and it did not.
Basically, sms and mms alert sounds have stopped working. Voicemail alerts are fine though.

mine did it the other day quite randomly but was fixed after rebooting

well mine appears asthough something on the phone didn't boot correctly causing these symptoms but upon rebooting all was fine .
I'm going to keep and eye on if V20 SW has a bug on the service forums as it would appear there may be a glitch or two

i had system error every time i turned the phone on with memory card ?
possable bug?
really odd but that would go away and i would use the memory card normal!!
hopefully nsc might sort it for me as its their atm!
