Earpiece Rattle
will update my profile in a minute but ive just got a vodafone n95 8gb in the uk and it seems there is a rattle coming from the earpiece speaker in call. any ideas why this is? |

Has the phone been dropped, or had the front cover off at all?

no, literally took it out of the box, put the sim and battery in, turned on and dialled the call to tell someone it has arrived. its a brand new one through dial a phone.

Well it will clearly be under warranty, so you may as well get a new one, but before you do, try this tip first, it wont cost anything, and you dont have to dismantle your phone.
Earpiece speaker distorted? Read here for the fix!
But if its rattling, I suspect the seal is the culprit. The seal around the ear piece.

What do these people who make these nokia phones do, it can't be that hard to fit a phone together correctly can it.........
Bet most of it is done by robot.....

I guess the quailty suffered on many later models due to Nokia trying to keep up with demand.
I have personally an early N95-1 in my hands, and it feels so much better quality that a later one I have with NSeries on the battery cover.
I have a total of 4 N95's now, 3 x N95-1, and 1 x N95-2. Im not crazy honest, 2 are my personal handsets, and 2 are for both research, and practising maintenance on.
