I had the same problems with my N95 2Gb. I had updated to the latest firmware and after a month or so it started restarting when i was trying to capture a video or play a video clip...when summer came the phone would get warm and collapse after a while even when not using it....it was really really annoying since i couldn;t even use to make a call (not to mention to use GPS, or camera or Music player...).

Since i had debranded the phone in order to have the latest firmware, i was afraid that the guarantee wouldn;t be valid anymore...but still i decided to take it to Nokia and get it fixed so i could have a phone! Before i took it to Nokia, i changed the phone's code back to its normal one (the one it had before the debranding)....at Nokia's dealer the guy checked its number and told me that the guarantee it STILL valid!!!...so after 6 days i got a call saying to go and pick up my NEW N95 device...since they couldn't repair the old one. They also told me that they couldn;t find what was the causing the problems!!!!...

So, now i have a new device that hasn;t restarted/frozen/etc... even after hard use (camera, gps, mplayer all at once) at 40 C temperature....

You were very lucky.
I have exactly the same symptoms, and handed over my N95 just this morning to their main repair centre. Hopefully, they will repair/replace my device before summer ends...

Got the new one yesterday, so far so good.
Everything seems to be working fine, without any resets although I stress the phone as much as I can.
Let's hope that the troubles end here.

I seem to have a very similar problem. My N95 seems to crash when I try and do anything vaguely complicated like take a photo, or more than 10 seconds of video, browse the web or use the music player and the Sportstracker at the same time

I then have to remove the battery and leave it out for a while before it will restart properly. I couldn't get it to restart at all but then I formatted the memory card (Sandisk SDHC 8Gb) after the new firmware and it was better.

I do love all the functions on the phone but currently it's not really workable!
